At the end of August, during Gamescom: Opening Night Live, we shared this project’s last major puzzle piece. The incredibly talented cast that will lend their voices to Twelve Minutes’ three protagonists: James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley and Willem Dafoe. And to do so, we created a new trailer:
We also wanted to catalog the process of recording the voices as well as the creative direction, so here is a small behind-the-scenes teaser:
Entertainment Weekly also interviewed the cast into the challenges of recording such a branching narrative. You can read the full interview here:
And I was interviewed for IGN about the direction and artistic influences. You can watch that here:
Having the voice acting wrapped-up, allowed us to record our last motion-capture session, for the sequences that were highly dependent on the voice performance tempo and musicality.
This means we can also begin to finalize the sound design as well as the music score. Simultaneously, we are also working on optimizations, polishing, lots of bugfixes, and soon™ QA + Playtesting!
Hello Luis Antonio, who are the people doing the motion capture?
For this session, the motion capture was performed by the very talented Hunter Smith and Caitlin Hutson.
This seems a few months out still. I’m assuming it’s pushed to 2021?
Not sure yet.
I can’t wait to play this, super excited!
