I’m very happy to share with you that Twelve Minutes has just been officially announced today, during the 2019 Xbox E3 Briefing:

In this experience, you take the role of a husband, on what should be a romantic evening with your wife and a Viagra pill. The night turns into a nightmare when a police detective breaks into your home, accuses your wife of murder and beats you to death.
Only for you to find yourself immediately returned to the exact moment you opened the front door, stuck in a TWELVE-MINUTE time loop, doomed to relive the same terror again and again…
Unless you can find a way to use the knowledge of what’s coming to change the outcome and break the loop.

An interactive narrative that blends the dream-like suspense of THE SHINING with the claustrophobia of REAR WINDOW and the fragmented structure of MEMENTO.

I’m also very excited to finally be able to share that I partnered with Annapurna Interactive, to make sure we will make this experience the best it can possibly be. We are planning to release the game in early 2020, on Xbox and PC and if you want to keep up to date on the project,  please subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of the HOME page as well as wishlist us on STEAM.

As a final note, this project is the work of several talented people over many years. If you want to know more about them, please have a look at the TEAM page.

I was quite pleased to see this game during E3! I remember trying it out a long time ago (at a PAX Indie MEGABOOTH I believe?) and thinking it was a really cool idea! Glad to see you’ve stuck to the core gameplay and just refined the heck out of it. Can’t wait to get back into this one and try out a bunch of stuff and learn from all my mistakes 😀

Absolutely the highlight of Microsoft’s E3 2019 conference. The originality of the premise and structure of gameplay employed for the game is so fascinating. It’s inspiring to see how far the design of all components have progressed since Giant Bomb’s Quick Look EX video all those years ago. Really exciting work and really look forward to getting my hands on it!

Wow! I’ve been following this project for quite some time and read your many posts about design issues and decisions, likely all informative, some quite fascinating. But seeing it all made alive in this trailer – awesome! Congratulations on progressing so far and keeping this project alive, I am so looking forward to its release 🙂

I’ve been following your project since Jon Blow mentioned it years ago.
Loved the concept, hoped it would be something like MASQ done right (I presume you know about MASQ and how it went a little overboard with soap opera).

I know it takes time, so I never tried to poke you – just been waiting patiently. Happy to learn it’s finally happening.
And Annapurna is officially my favorite publisher now.

Having followed this blog for – I think – 4 years, it’s fantastic to see your game get so close and even featured in the Guardian! I can’t wait to play it and congratulations. It looks incredible.
